alright i am writing this as an idea instead of making runes drop in loot which ultimately only hurts newer players making newer players less apt to stay on the server because of the difficulty in reaching spawns how about just making it so you cant recall out of dungeons which would do the same thing your after in making ppl pvp more and run into each other. the runes in loot do not hurt these veterans because they have all there rune books and just clear every spawn spot quickly recalling in and out of dungeons with ease. i do not see why a newer player should be penalized by not having runes and not having a fair shot in hitting spawns ahead of vets which also lowers the chance of them running into the veterans because it takes that much longer for them to get to the spot.

You cant recall into dungeons, but restricting recalling out is stupid idea. What if im on the other side of dungeon from nearest telepad ? Id have to go all the way back there. And about noobs being unable to recall due to lack of runes - get a horse, pick a dungeon and hunt there. Theres no need to start recalling back and forth like yoyo for new players.

that's the point making you guys have to go to the tele pad or run out of dungeon making there more of a chance of you running into someone causing pvp so what i say to you is get a horse and pick a dungeon and run out. this is no time to be greedy just because you have all your runes and wanna hit all the spawns before a newer player can get there. this servers player base is declining for a reason its time to figure out what the issues are and fix them or else we will see yet another zh server fall.

I truly dont get what youre proposing. Why not to make some stupidity then like .telepvp command that teleports player to nearest person. That would increase pvp by a ton. Current problem has nothing to do with recalling from dungeons, but far more issue is unlimited macro time... by a ton. All ppl do is macro. I play in the mornings and theres no1 there, nada, zip. Being unable to recall from dungeons would make it even more boring, not increase pvp chances(not that i wannt any).

the thing that i proposed here was to make runes easier to get not found in loot. a staffer had told me the reason there so hard to get was due to them wanting ppl run into each other and cause pvp so i proposed the idea of making it so you cant recall out of dungeons which many shards have done in the past and it has worked. removing the recalls off vendors just limits newer players.

So, id have to go thru all the mobs again back, just to be able to recall. Thats stupid. In some dungeons theres quite a lot of heavy mobs between telepad and dungeons far corners. Btw, 90% of pvp in dungeons happens near high end mob spawns, not in between.

for me it's very stupid dont sell the recall rune in the mage shop everybody do that, it's very very boring run every time at moon gate search the dungeon and play u loose a lot of time and if u die u walk and walk to the moongate ecc ecc... its not funny. recalling inside dungeons is stupid but dont give a chance to directely recall at the entrance is stupid, it's simply a lost of time and some player that cant play all the day only for 2 3 hours at day must spend 30 40% of the time to search every day a dung or a place to hunt, baah for me now there are 2 negative points of this server.1) this absurde story of the recall rune 2) the rubbish every where

by selling them in mage shops it will make your hunting a lil faster u will jsut have to go outside of dungeons to recall to a new spot there will be no more running to the dungeon u can recall there and go in.

I don't think that preventing people from recalling inside dungeons will improve the pvp right now, since very few players actually hunt. Here is how the pvp happens on this server: a guy logs in and types .online, checks if the players he wants to kill are online and starts to search for them on the most known dungeons. To improve the pvp right now I think we need more people online. Then, when more people start to hunt and pvp, disabling recalling inside dungeons would sound like a good option!
I like the idea of runes dropping only from monsters. It would be even better if there was a limit on the number of times the rune could be used, to recall or gate. For example, a rune would have 50 charges, it means you recall using it 50 times, or gate to it 50 times.
sinstruck and 666slipkn, I really can't see how the lack of runes destroy your gameplay. They simply aren't that important, and I have the feeling you guys didn't even give it a try.
There are *big* dungeons *so close* to minoc, britain and rennance. And it doesn't take 2-3hours to get to those 3 dungeons running from these cities, actually I think it would take 3-5 minutes. 3 big dungeons for players starting now seems to be enough to keep them busy and help them collect a few runes to get started.
sinstruck, since a small number of players are hunting, don't worry about veterans hitting the spawns before you do. Trust me, there are plenty of spawns for everyone right now.

Maybe if runes dropped randomly on low level spawns?
I've designated skeletons and orcs to drop stacks of reagents, arrows or bandages. Maybe the odd rune drop on them would counteract this issue?
Then again, it's nice to have recall runes as another reason to go out and hunt!

But... 1. not skeletons and such, id say starting from liche and up. 2. chances of drop on higher level mobs should be higher, compared to lower level mobs - liche is considerably easyer to kill that balron.
