Then 40 reagents in them is nice, also for the arrows! But spellbook scrolls?

Well the spellbook scrolls need to be there for new players that don't have full spellbook.

Not to mention the gems for alchemy, even sometimes you find that random spell that has been missing from your -full spellbook- not to mention part of the game is quickly being able to grab whats good and leave what you dont need.
It would be very silly to just strip then down to 3 or 4 item drops in a corpse container.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing 4-5 items in a corpse. Since the loot is high and the mobs easy to kill, people would have to kill more monsters to get something good. It is so random that a balrog that drops 20 magic items, you would be able to find 5 GM items in it.

Well the spellbook scrolls need to be there for new players that don't have full spellbook. Sorry but who hunts balrons and needs normal spellbook scrolls? I agree if your talking about e/n-book scrolls. If you want normal scrolls just go hunt dracoliches. I been playing on Chaotic-Realm which had a pretty nice loot system and in every high lootgroup Bradley removed all the junk and it was awesome. And +1 for less magic items dropped by monster.

Balrogs, GDs and other highest level mobs will no longer drop reagents, arrows, level 6-8 scrolls, pagans or jewels after the restart tomorrow morning.
It's just money, clothing, jewellery, armor, weapons, GM items, lvl5 tmaps, and earth/necro stuff.
Good call Lorth.
