I was thinking maby u should get npcs that item id for u.. i played at a shard that had it before so u just go to the npc write identify and mark the bag/item to identify .. then the npc names a price and wen u give him the money he identifys the items for u
great for all ppl who dont have item id and dont wanna make another char just for that ...

I think the important thing to remember here is that, of all skills, Item ID has no wait time between uses. All you have to do is set a macro of [Use Skill - Item ID] > [Wait for Target] > [Last Object] and hold down the key you set until the item IDs. Then just use .dropskill afterwards.
Yes/No?

i dont mind if some ppl wanna item id themselfs but some ppl dont wanna make a mage or pp and dont have ppl they trust to item id for them and to raise the skill urself everytime u wanna id loot and then drop it again to keep ur spec just seams like alot of work and i dont think it would hurt gameplay if there was a npc who did stuff like that for u for an amount of money
i just dont see the downside of haveing it ?

Join a guild. That's what a guild is for. You can't do something because you are spec so you have a guildmate do it for you as he is that spec.

i do have ppl i trust to do my item id thats not the point the thing is i dont see a bad thing about getting a npc that does this if u need to get something identified wile most of your guild mates are afk or busy ...
make it expensive or something but i think its something that would be good to have and i cant see any reason why anyone should think its a bad thing for gameplay ?

Howabout getting a bot script program that hunts for you too?
That way you can just sit back and "chat" while EVERYTHING is done for you.

Yeah i have seena few shards with that option. so its good idea in my eyes to. even though i have a mage of my own or fayt to do it for me. But i do agree with dutten. also another thing i seen on shards is a Blacksmith npc that also repairs your gear for a set price depending on damage. so maybe thats an idea too? just a thought.

Also prome thats a good idea, i actually tried that with my Ranger and its took a bit of time to actually id 1 item. I just got tired of taking 10 minutes for 2 items and started a mage lol. It would take days to ID a whole bag of loot at 0 IDing lol.

Repair it before it's totally fucked.
All these things just take away from player interaction and gives crafters even less to do.
Soon you'll have to change "crafters" to "interior designers" because it'll be all they're good for.
