Yeah it's getting worse I think.
Yesterday we had some episodes of great lag, around this time, but now it's really bad.
But since worldsaves are taking 5+ minutes now, I'm not sure if it is the connection

Thanks, reported to the VPS host and I've given them a user/pass to remotely connect and check some settings.

its a hardware problem 100%
why ?
bs when its connection lag and SD is chasing u u die, currently after unlag SD is on the same place when his was be4 lag starter (and so on about everything i nthe world, it lags at same time that you are, including serverabased processes, like npcs or skill use delay)
ergo
server has insufficent resources to process data

Maybe I should just invest in more RAM. I thought 2GB RAM would be enough though.

2.5 proce and 2 gb rams should be more than sufficent for uo server
its not exactly that theres 70+ players online and tons of stuff everywhere
btw, prom, dont you have acces to vps load charts ?

6:24 pm(gmt+2) everythings frozen for about 5 mins now - me, poisoned and having 14 hp and balron, 1-2 hits away from diying
edit:
6:26 and servers officially down, not even "verifying account"
and im so lucky that i have just died bs of previsious lags
6:30 got past server choice screen, lets see do i made it into the game
6:31 were back on and lags are manageble

just found out that my macro char is disconnected, while trying to log in getting to "verifying account", not futher

Had a serious lagspike just now, causing a discon on one of my clients. Could not log back on (stuck at various stages) , and at 3:31 the other client also lost connection.
Logged back on a minute later, 17 people online. Not sure what's going on :/

I'v had it several times that my client lost connection and the other one didn't, both clients on the same computer.. :/
