what client are you using / did you patch by accident?

First thing I tried was:
1) Install UOAOS provided by web link, Copy and paste ZH Faction files into game folder, Edit login.cfg to match what is posted on forum.
I got compatability errors with the client not being able to use hues files, etc.
2) Same as 1 except I loaded game with razor.
Same error as 1.
3) Same as 1 except I installed UO 9th Ed.
Get to the part that says account may not be activated, may be wrong pw/username, etc.
4) Same as 3 except I loaded game with razor.
Stuck at verifying account.

hmm. the first step should have worked. I think all you really need from the zh files is the client, 1.26.4a, and the login file, although i might be wrong. try seeing if it works with just those files
e: or if you're using windows 7 it might have copied wrong because it does that sometimes!

Figured it out, TY. I was running the install files from my external rather than on the computer harddrive itself. Anyway, I'm a super noob. I suck at this game, but I like it. Anyone got a guild I can join?
