So, fantasia sent out an email saying that every new character will automatically be lvl 1.
I kind of like that idea, its a great way to get noob players onto the shard. I don't know how you guys feel about it. A power player could just start off with whatever area of his power player he doesn't really want to train.
Plus, this would dramatically lower the whole boring macro issue. This is a pretty big change though, I don't expect good replies to this post lol.

I mean the first level is the easiest to get, getting from 3 to 5 is 10x times longer, I don't think it decrease the macroing process that much.

Dont know I made it to spec 3 in under a week and with the availability of reagents and whatever else you need to vendor purchase its actually quite easy. Not to mention dual client and razor. I cant see myself putting alot of time into ZHfactions because i can only do one toon at a time, and I dont feel like investing 7 months into a character for it to go down in 9 months.
Not to sound overly negative but that is the average lifespan of a shard these days it seems.

Like you had something to lose Abyss..Since my computer is technically running 24/7, I dont mind opening UO and macro my character. Right now it's empty, but im pretty sure it will get more crowded as the days goes. I personally think that if this shard does't work, none will work, so why not give it a try? UO is one of the best games I ever played, it's easy and it doesnt require you to be 24/7 infront of the screen to level up as you can let your character macro half of the time at the cost of....nothing.
Keep thinking like this, but you'll just say the same over and over and end up you will never play anymore. Theres nothing to lose, not money, it's free, and certainly not time, you can do something else while the game runs.
Just give it a try, if you dont want to give it a try, your negativity shall not be welcome here as you have nothing to do on these forums.

I just don't see the reason of having to macro from lvl 0 to lvl 1. Every single person has to do it, and nobody really starts playing until they are lvl 2 anyways. I mean, you can't do anything on this shard until you are at least lvl 1. Why tell noobie characters, yeah come to our shard, but don't expect to be competitive or really do anything for 2-3 weeks.

I was going to type a response to your post but you made me realise its not worth it, lets just say I have not been wrong yet and after playing over a dozen various ZH themed shards I must say that you begin to recognize trends.

Ever since I first started playing back in '98 I've known there was a better way for shards to operate. I'm still going to be here operating this place if you aren't

Yeah actually promth has the advantage of his history thing he's got setup. He can kick back and watch the waves of differen't player ages come and go. Its going to be like looking at a high school year book for him. Plus he's a history major and has nothing else to do. Physics ftw!

make skill gain below 75 or 90 super fast, and make the skill cap without items be 150.
