Any purpose to it? and why does it not say 1st Age when u choose this race? just curious

I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings. Maiar are a race, but an old race; Sauron is a Maiar, Gandalf is a Maiar and Balrogs are also Maiar who have merely taken on different appearances and been influenced to be good or evil by the different Gods.
The reason it doesn't say [1st Age] after the race name is because I will be removing the option to start as a Maiar after the first age is over, so there's no point adding that information.
