Have you not answered my suggestion since you aren't able to script something like this? I'm not interested in changing the restricted recalling system. It's simple and easy to understand as it is and the gameplay changes which would come as a result of your suggestion are not what I want on the shard.

So you're not able to script it, fine.

You need to stop being so hideously rude, Lorth. I really mean it.

My suggestion was not a recalling script but something to prevent players from being physically stuck for too long. Don't tell me it would literaly change the whole gameplay of the server.

what about being able to have travelers with some dungeons like deciet and hyloth? i think with travelers ppl would go to these distant places more often and then no where would be safe?
but dont get me wrong i love the no recalling spell and how ppl have to run, theres nothing i hated more then ppl autorecalling away when i was chasing them. and in zuluhotel2 and 3 there was a bug with the travelers ppl saying gate then when menu comes up dying and running into ppls house then gate to a town and the gate would open up in there house but it was fixed by making the person paralyzed while picking where to gate too just a thought.

I don't think ppl should be able to easily get to hythloth or other far away dungeons. Thats exactly the cool think about these places. They are remote and its a journy to get there.

What I was hoping was that maybe some RPing Dark Elves of the 1st Age would start a Faction and control all of Hythloth Island or something.

Im new here, but all stat stuff about recall is rediculous. Ive been playing on every ZH, even staffed a bit on ZH 3-4. Al lthat stuff about exploring and mystery should be voluntari. Ive been probably everywhere and know map pretty well - at leat i can get anywhere i need just by memory, without using any maps. And its reall yannoying to run back and forth, especially if i need to get somwhere like Hythloth - instead on simple recall, that would take max 1 min, it takes about 20 min to get there by boat. Id like to see recall and gate back in bussiness, with limitation to cost(uses more mana and reagents) and time, to eliminate it as emergency exit and cheating like recall-on-the-run (after you successfully cast recall on rune/runebook youl be frozen/paralized for 10 secs be4 you actually would be teleported and if u die in meanwhile, then you get to other end as a ghost, so recalling would be safe-to-go spell).

Recall is just shit. Leave it as it is, if people cant cope, gtfo. And btw Prome, even if the Dark Elves would settle on Hytloth it would just be silly. They'd probably create a town close to Sacrifice or some spiders nest I know this, I used to RP a Dark elf (Drow)

Al lthat stuff about exploring and mystery should be voluntari. It is voluntary. You can choose to play here, or you can choose to play somewhere else. It dosn't get much more voluntary than that Besides; if everyone could recall, i couldn't choose not having them being able too. Nothing voluntary about that.

You pretty much just told me to go a frack myself. Something like: Shut up and go away. Seems that there is really no point to discuss anything, from that point of view. Besides; if everyone could recall, i couldn't choose not having them being able too. Nothing voluntary about that. Why should you ? Or you consider yourself better that every1 ? All you can chose is what you will do or do not. For yourself, not for every1 else. Doesnt like spell - dont use it. But for the frack sake, dont come telling me, that i cant/shouldnt use it for my own benefit. I hate ppl who teach others how to go thru life without any knowledge on the subject.

To be perfectly blunt, there's no point even discussing this because it's one of the pillars that the shard is built upon, it's one of the most basic, fundamental changes I made to the scripts because, on balance, I see it as massively positive for gameplay. I would not have even bothered to start the shard if I was ever going to include recalling, because it isn't compatible with the idea behind the creation of the shard.
There's no chance that any kind of discussion will change it. I'm not saying that because I dislike recalling, I'm saying it because I absolutely love the restricted recalling we have instead.
