Newbie Donation Chest

Though the subject is self explanitory... here goes...

I feel we need a donation chest for new players, as such, this chest would restrict use from players over level 1 (maybe 2), New characters on an account with another character being over the level requirement. As it stands; as a new player, if you don't know anyone, brought here from a link on a gamesite with uo shards in a list, you're screwed. The donation chest (which I'd surely fill everyday with my hunting endeavors alone) would solve that issue. I considered making a vendor that sold my items that I won't/don't use anymore for 1gp, but then I knew some pricks out there would buy them and sell them for 5-10k a piece like a dick. This seems to be the only clausible solution.

I agree the starting level on the shard is extremly hard unless you start a crafter and earn money for a 2-4weeks before starting a primary character.

Starting a crafter is the best way to start out "anywhere", not just here.

Crafters are the best way to aquire a steady flow of gold, as yr going to need to aquire a house or someplace safe to macro (guild, etc.) before you can really do anything.

As far as anything being "clausible", why not just be a self stated "guide" and help new players.. or make a posting that a certain town is aim ed at helping new players?

.. free items, or making a whole area mainly for new players would just be a waste.. not to mention "trammelizing" an already empty Player vs Player server.


New players can always be told about the Many Many MANY.. no pk Zones where they can macro macro macro.

We already have a new player area, oh noes, we've strayed from your idea of Ultima. We have to accommodate new players.

Not really straying from my idea of Ultima, but if ya wanna get cocky.. there are tons of other servers that fit my idea of Ultima.

Accomodate newbies that get tired of "newbie" ares.. sounds fun. Adios.
