Tomorrow morning the shard will be taken off-line for a few days whilst me and the staff work on the changes that will bring us into the 2nd Age.
Expected Return: Wednesday Evening GMT
The 1st Age has been a learning experience which has seen lots of updates and improvements and the 2nd Age has arrived at almost exactly the time I had expected it would - just when big changes need to be made!
Our playerbase has been decreasing recently and, although a lot of you have pointed towards improvements that can still be made in certain areas (notably blackrock/casting weapons and the level of prots), there still remains the central core problem of our existing playerbase being spread too thin across the world.
The changes we make over the next few days, before we launch into the 2nd Age, will address that central issue: both veteran players and newbies are leaving because they are playing in a world in which the playerbase is spread too thin - even when we had 50 unique IPs online.
More information on exactly how we will deal with these issues will be released over the next few days - keep checking back here to the forum or see the website - but to be honest it will almost certainly involve an item wipe.
Also on the agenda before we're back online on Wednesday is:

Also on the agenda before we're back online on Wednesday is:
- Remaking the website to look sexier and contain more/better information.
- Making blackrock/casting weapons available.
- Setting all new players as [2nd Age] in their profiles by editing the racegates.
- Making the spawning of some dungeons a bit more interesting, and finishing the spawning of the world and T2A.
- Re-write the conditions required to start a town (it will be a lot more difficult!).
- Complete the immense newbie dungeon I'm working on.
- Make GM items a lot more difficult to find and address loot in general.
