a few ideas have been floating around for a guild of crafters. if anyone is going to start one or would like to start one then post some ideas on here so we can kick it off (or i can join)

yeah i'm up for joining a crafters guild think it would be cool, more interaction i'm like 5 points away from being a lvl 1 crafter i know i know still a newbie but hey lol

yea some one said something a bout buying minoc as a crafters guild i would really like to see that done i guess well talk when we get in game or something

I'm surprised that noones come to me about this before. You realize - with the new townstones - you can just ban any crafters who try to mine in your town? ;D If you had a town like Avaron in the 1st Age, which was the only safe place to mine Oracle Ore, the mayor could just click and ban enemy crafters from his town (and they'd be automatically teleported out of town limits) and Avaron would have an absolute monopoly on Oracle Ore

if its at all possible the crafters guild should be run by a council instead of a mayor. and have the council members represented by the most capable user of each of crafting skills. so for example a loremaster or a master miner.

person who have best skill in mining may not have the best skill in administration besides, what if theres more that 1 gm in mining or fletching or any other crafter skill

it was a way of keeping the guild run by people with different goals, so not all of the leaders think that getting loads of no pk mines is a good idea but not doing the same for no pk woods or vice versa. so all of the skills are represented by someone whos looking out for that skill. if there are multiple people with who are gm in the skill then we can vote or just ask who wants to represent that skill. the guild is supposed to help crafters not benefit the council

the only problem i do see in a crafters guild is that each guild has one or more crafters that supply all the armor and stuff to each player in the guild. It really is a great idea but i think it will have to wait till we get more players on.
