I think ingots price vs the new loot system is a bit too high, I almost made a million now on 15hr of macroing mining without omeros.
If money is too easy then the server will be fulled of crap houses everywhere again and cities, I think it should be harder to get a city and whatnot so money should be harder to get.
Is this a good idea?

well prolly yes ... its gonna be a pain in the ass if money gets hard to acquire .. but if it gets TO EASY ... its gonna be useless in about 3 weeks ..

houses aren't an issue, its the cities - and i agree, got about a mil w/out omeros and i just started..
Didnt prom say we need to collect uber (4) rare items to create a city - i think that is the key. if those items are easy to get - its going to repeat itself. I think there has to be some major restrictions on making a city.. for instance 6 people need to group up and co-sign a deed (for city) 10mil gold ultra-hi rare item found on spawns etc etc.
restrict the shit out of it and you will find alot more co-operation on the server.

Should have an active economy, too much of a certain item gets sold to npc's, prices drop. Too much of something gets bought prices rise. This enforces a player driven economy and creativity in finding new ways for making gold. For example: right now no one would think of farming reagents etc cause theyre cheap and there's no profit from it but once the prices rise or the items get scarce they might. And have npc's buy at the same price as they sell so they wont compete with player vendors. Now people will actually run on their horse to other cities (faction cities) to collect those items and sell them for a bit higher price in the vendor market in for example Minoc. Also, the problem isnt the selling price of ingots. The problem is a No pk mining zone, there's no risk involved so people dont give a crap what they macro over night. Back in the day having a good crafter actually meant something, you made a name for yourself and be known for your exceptional armor sets. Ohwell just some ideas

bad idea about ultra rare items for citys there should be several fixed sport and thats all - you wannt it, u buy it and then pay the rent every month or so, so that new players would 2 have a chance otherwise in bigger perspective - more ppl on server = greater chances to obtain this ultra rare item at first it would take a month per item, then a week and then ppl could start a city in a week total by collecting all 4 items - an this rate whole britain would look like taris in no time but thats offcourse only if prom wannt to see shard expanding

I'd like the mine to be Specified Crafter allowed only. Now people just macro whatever they want in a safe spot and the mine looks fulled.

that thing about a lot of stuff to buy - must agree - arrowheads and shafts are kinda pointless to make/collect, when you can buy 1k of arrows/bolts from a single vendor same goes for other resources
