im for any means for transportation - recall, gate, telepads, moongates in any order, all together or in variantions
but at least something
its a bit crappy that minoc is made to be center of the world - i like britain but theres nothing there
its far to go even in britannia, but travelling to second age territories takes forever - i havent even bothered to go there, since world is not exactly tightly populated, there is no point in exploring even out of curiosity, bs getting back to minoc yet again takes a lot of time
and just running around in the empty wilderness is pointless, same goes for dungeons - its easier just to camp for same monster, that take a halfhour trip to another dungeon and then back
i liked zulus original idea - you can mark and recall/gate everywhere, but inside dungeons and houses

I agree I think the no teleport thing worked alright on a shard like TSSE but I dont think a pvp oriented shard should have recall restrictions. Perhaps some way of summoning a moongate comparable to the way a ritual circle is summoned, where its a process that can be interupted, and perhaps you need to do something to be bound to that area.. like sacrafice yourself or perform some other ritualistic type chant to bind yourself. That way it would not be something that would interfere with pvp, and gives an aspect of creativity to the shard.
p.s. I only discussed this because he said not too

More power to you, Morris. On a serious level, you're on the right track. ZHF is a itembased pvp oriented shard. As such, whoever has the best items, as a ranger, with alot of dex mods and a bow, you're not gonna be able to run fast enough to survive. Recall gives you a chance, and you can still fizzle if you're interrupted, forced to stay and fight it out. Get a clue, Factions. Your cries for some sort of transportational leniency falls on deaf ears. Change the name to ZHD. ZuluHotel Dictatorship. If he doesn't like the idea, but the shard as a whole does, it won't be put in. Roll out the red carpet for the UO Stahlin. Regardless of my words, much respect Prome, enjoyed playing before the drastic changes occured.  That sounded condescending. I promise, that wasn't the intended sound. |

One of my plans from the start has been for Rituals to create moongates that stay open for a day or something. It's just something that'll take a long time to script. |
