Shard activities - suggestions please!

Hello Factions,

I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself and say hello to everyone. As a new Seer I am still getting the feel of things and trying to find out what it is that you, as players (and admin), would like to see happening in game.

I have a soft spot for activities that everyone can participate in that don't necessarily involve fighting. No, I'm not a carebear or a hard-core RP'er but I do think that crafters and those that choose not to fight 24/7 can enjoy events and are valuable members of any shard.

Today I've come to ask you to give me feedback on what kind of activities that you might be interested in doing. I like to host events and chaos makes me smile so there are no ideas too crazy.

Some ideas that I have been tossing around lately:

Writing competitions - poetry and stories written on in-game books that can be stored in libraries for people to read.

Scavenger Hunts
Drinking games
Crafting competitions
Parties for holidays
Dungeon Crawls

Please put the best time for you (approx.) in your time zone so that it's easier to coordinate events.

I'm here to help and entertain...occasionally smite but that's just a job perk. If an NPC plays with you, play back!

I was on the long weekend too, Jester. I hope everyone had a good one.

The frustration comes when the link is viewed many times and there are no responses at all. We can't use the excuse that the forum is dead when there were 32 views. (76 now) Someone is looking, right? Anyway, enough of this, it's really a moot point anyway.

It counts a "view" every time you refresh the page. So if I were to sit here and hit F5 20 times, it would count them all.

edit: Tada! 146 views in about 30 seconds.

I'm aware of the vast underworld of the magical world of forums. That's why I subtracted the 2 views that came from me.

Why would someone care to refresh the page of one post that many times? Except to prove their point.
